ACTIVE LAYER THICKNESS BY HABITAT TYPE AND YEAR 2006-2012Maddy P. and Tim R. joined two students from the Park School in Baltimore to present a talk on the summer permafrost work entitled "Surface indicators of permafrost active layer thickness in the Hudson bay lowlands". The focus of the summer work is to collect and monitor the depth of the permafrost layer in the same bog and fen locations over many years and to look for a correlation between the permafrost thickness and the vegetation. Included is the graph of the active layer thickness that the students have collected over the last eight years.
